Original Hardware is fancy for gaming on crt screens, having same look and feel.īut for making music, one doesn't want 50hz crt look and feel.īars and Pipes. I would recommend doing it via some FPGA, over the original Hardware. Here some guy is running Deluxe Music on the Amiga Core: You load a core from a menu and sit in front of an Atari ST, capable of loading Cubase and start sequencing. (and a NES, a SNES) NOT by emulating a machine, but by being that machine down to the transistors of it's (whatever) costum chips. So this thing IS an Amiga, a c64, an Atari ST. Basically, an FPGA is a programmable chip. If you're into 'classic homecomputer sequencing': Have a look at Lothareks MiST. Although when i bought it the gu i bought it from demonstrated the Gotek without trouble. Now that's a long story. I ordered a second gotek and will flash that one.īut i am starting to doubt if my Amiga is trying to read. But tonight i will connect the gotek to my amiga500 to see if it works in there. I dont have floppys to test the drive next to it. Still it will recognize the usb but the disk activity led wont turn on. Yesterday i tried to flash the drive but somehow it wasnt showing up in my laptop (having put the jumpers in the holes, even soldered them temp.) Thanks again for the advice! i will search for the board on the 2nd hand market. Too bad the ACA500plus cannot be installed in an A2000, otherwise that would probably be my suggestion as you get all the bases covered in one product for a decent price.

on Amibay so you could maybe find one there.įor the basic stuff that you want I would also agree that a Vampire is way overkill. He retired (or is taking a break) from building the various boards, but they regularly come up 2nd hand e.g. I also don't think Kipper2k sells them any longer. You could also install a 68010 CPU for improved WHDload quit key support (and a slight theoretical speed increase ). Yes, the Kipper2k board + KS 3.1 is a good combo. So i will look for that one and a 3.1 rom chip It seems like Kippers site is down, or partly down? the Vampire500 seems like a nice card as well but i think it will be overkill for what i would use it for In the other end you have the Vampire500 which is a really fast accelerator (faster than 060) with 128MB memory, RTG with HDMI output and some other stuff. The cheap solution could be something like Kipper2k's 8MB RAM+CF adapter which will give you 8MB fast ram plus a CF card slot so you can use CF cards as a HDD. If you want to use WB on it, I would also suggest you get KS3.1 on it and some accelerator or at least a fast ram expansion. I would try letting the Gotek being the only drive on the cable and trying both D0 and D1 settings to see if it can boot selector.adf in either setting. I don't remember if the Gotek is supposed to be set to D0 or D1 if running as DF0. A 2000 is pretty much the same as a 500 but with more expansion slots.
